Your OTS Portfolio

Are you making the most of your Portfolio? Does it work for you? Are you giving credit where credit is due? How often do you update your portfolio? Do you change things up, keep it fresh? These are some of the questions you should be asking yourself.
First, are you making the most of it? Your OTS Portfolio is your chance to show yourself to potential clients or customers. Use this to your advantage. List large-scale events or workshops you’ve attended. List print credits, appearances in various media etc. How about the calendar feature, do you know about it and how to use it? Use the calendar to show what you are doing. It helps when someone wants to contact you if they can quickly look and see when you’re available. Do you have a personal website? If so is it listed as a link on your OTS portfolio page? Make your page work for you. It should speak to who you are and what you do. If you’ve go a specific interest then list it here, perhaps someone will see this information and inquire about your services.
Are you giving credit where credit is due? This is another one of those things that can really help out everyone. When an image is uploaded to OTS there’s a field for entering “Link to Talent”. Do you know that this is where you can enter the OTS profile number of someone? Example: Model-uploading photos should put the photographers OTS number. This will allow viewers of a profile to click on the link and go straight to the talent involved in the photo. Listing the Talents OTS information should be done to all involved to MUA to model to event. Everyone involved in a photo shoot does work.
Do you change things up and keep it fresh? When was the last time you updated your portfolio? Models have you had a birthday? Are you 14 and not 12 as it was when you first signed up? Have you shot with someone recently, but don’t have any photos up? At least once a month you should go through your portfolio and update any information that needs to be updated. Did you also know that each time you update information in your portfolio a link to your page shows up on the front page of OTS? This is a great way to get traffic to your page. Update and people will come to see what you’ve done.
Your OTS Page has many options available with it. You should take some time to look into everything and see how it works. Click on some links and see where it takes you, you might be surprised at what you will find.
