Past, Present and Future of a Child Model Lorie Kaye

Past: It seems that Lorie Kaye has had an interest in modeling for as long as she can remember. Runway and Print are her biggest interests. Research of admired area models had two common denominators: One Talent Source and Lari Nelson. So she connected with both to see if there was potential for her in the industry. Her first real shoot was with Fred McLean on the San Antonio River Walk. Quickly followed by Phil Cassel with a studio shoot. She began watching models like Heather Boilek and Dixie Frasier to see how to bring elegance and individuality to a shoot. Each photographer had something to add to the experience. She feels fortunate to be welcomed into the family of One Talent Source. They are supportive, knowledgable, and fun.

Present: Lorie Kaye is an honor role student at Navarro Intermediate. Her favorite subjects are math and art. She enjoys spending time on both sides of the camera. She is an active 4-H member and a junior leader in the 4-H photography group. This spring, she entered the Green Space Alliance of San Antonio photo contest. Her photo is one of 30 out of nearly 700 that is on display at the UTSA Gallery. She also had 4 photos published in the Ranch & Rural Living magazine following their annual summer contest. Lorie Kaye volunteers her time to a local hospital and agricultural foundation. In April, she was named Seguin Citizen. Through OTS, Lorie Kaye has worked with over 25 photographers. She routinely works with Lari Nelson Modeling and Talent Group and participates in major bridal and seasonal fashion runway shows in the San Antonio area. She is part in a San Antonio radio and tv show "Let's Talk With Miss Neka" which supports the voice and spirit of area youth. She was part of a corporate video in San Antonio in the early spring. Lorie Kaye also enjoyed a year in pageants and has beautiful trophies, crowns, and sashes to show for it.

Future: Lorie Kaye has great interest in fashion, design, photography, and the mathematic and scientific fields. "I think that Candice and her designs were really cool at the last shoot. I was honored to model her creations like the older girls. One day, I want to be the designer and another, I want to be the photographer. My faith assures me that God has the perfect plan and that when the time is right, he will lead me down the right path. I hope to take a more active role in school and community leadership. I want to use my smile to bring attention to worthy causes. My family has always stressed that beauty should be more from the inside than the outside. I hope that as I gain popularity in this industry, that my inner beauty will be the finalist on any stage. Keep a smile on your face and let your personality be your autograph!"
