Creative Fashion Stylist and Wardrobe Designer Fatima Farasha brings hip, pop, and artistic funk into her work. Creativity, enthusiasm, and strong business acumen guides everything. While deep imagination, fantasy characters, unique props, derived from her ?only child syndrome? for most of her adolescence, she?s still remembering spending long hours daydreaming, fantasizing, and creating many of these fantastic ideas which is now her creative bank.
The high spirited, personable, trend savvy Fatima Farasha was born and raised in Detroit, MI to an (African) Sudanese Father and an African American Mother. Fatima was an only child for 13 years within a very restricted religious and culture rich environment with early international influence as a child, Fati? (as most people endear her) lived deeply in a world parallel to her own real one, strongly influenced by African heritage, European fashion, and American hip hop and pop culture. She say?s that her African heritage allows her to be unafraid to flirt with and experiment with vibrant colors wherever possible, the European influence allow her to create up and outwards theatrically, and her American heritage rich with hip hop and pop culture gives her the courage to be a radical artist and continually attempt to do something revolutionary as an artist.
As a Fashion Stylist Commercially Fatima?s approach to her work is very hands on with a crème de la crème balance of planning, trend, and spontaneity. This might include propping (in addition to styling), designing and making beaded wings for a book cover or painstakingly hand-painting a pair of boots and matching bag for a clients photo shoot. Her creativity and style is evident in her work.
As a Personal Fashion Stylist Fatima Farasha can create looks for your whole lifestyle or one special occasion at a time. This includes concept - to shopping - through being present to Style the day of your big moment. She?s prepared to play Shopper Stylist for those whom don?t have time to shop or prefer to leave their styling choices in more experienced hands. Accompanying individuals on shopping excursions is the Prime Personal Styling Request.
