I do shoot TFP for the benefit of both model and photographer. A number of "no shows" by models has caused me to approach TFP a little differently. A $40 deposit is required for models not having shot with me before. This deposit will be refunded on the day of the shoot provided model shows up as scheduled. Otherwise, deposit is forfeited.

My involvement in photography has been a life long journey.
Starting as a youngster at birthday parties and family vacations, photography was an integral part of my life. In my early teens, I had a home darkroom and in college worked at a photographic lab enlarging and processing film.
College brought photography of live music, "love-ins", protest marches, caving photography and underwater photography. Today, live event photography and model photography seem to have captured my interest.
Being a student of the early motion picture musicals brought me an appreciation of the glitz and glamour of show business, particularly the artistry of Ginger Rogers, Busby Berkeley and George Hurrell.
Having grown up in the cosmetics industry, my mother was a business woman and owner of a Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio for 25 years, My association with the cosmetics industry has given me a deep appreciation of the effort the top models go to in looking their best.
If you are an enthusiastic model willing to give 100 % in looking your best for a shoot, then you are the type of model I will enjoy working with.
Preference is given to shooting older models - 14 years of age and older.

For the holiday season, I would like to share with you some of the wonderful musical entertainers I get the priviledge of photographing throughout the year in Austin, Texas, particularly around the Christmas/New Year Season.
This event/entertainment photography is the News Story part of my photography. Not only do I get to photograph beautiful talented individuals in the modeling world but also have the opportunity to snap photos of some extremely talent musical entertainers!
Below are some highlighted artists which I have had the honor of photographing. These videos (not mine) will give an idea of the tremendous talent of these artists:
Carolyn Wonderland is a rocking blues babe! Combine the blues belting ability of , let's say, Janis Joplin and the guitar playing ability of Stevie Ray Vaughn or Jimmie Hendrix, Very rare is the combination of an artist that has a wonderful singing ability for their particular style plus fantastic guitar playing ability that is all wrapped up into the female form. Carolyn has a very humble on stage persona but boy can she wail out a blues tune and set the guitar on fire!
Misunderstood !
Judgement Day Blues !
To quickly see her guitar playing ability, scroll to the 2:25 minute point. Also notice that all the notes played are done with a "finger picking" style verus using a guitar pick.
Chip Taylor - "Wild Thing" !
Going way back to the sixties, Chip Taylor wrote the very popular tune, "Wild Thing", made popular by The Troggs. Chip teams up with Carrie Rodriquez to perform "Wild Thing". The video below is a similar performace to what was given at the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar.
Don Walser ! (September 14, 1934 - September 20, 2006)

Don Walser, father, patriot, and singer is another wonderful artist I have photographed over the years. When talking to you, he would speak to you in such a friendly way that anyone one would have thought Don had known them for years. He devoted his career to promoting traditional country music. The beautiful twist is he had a wonderful high tenor voice and boy could he yodel! He put his family first by being employed in the Texas National Guard for 30 years. During this time he would perform during his free time. After retirement, he devoted himself more intensely to his music career. Over the years Don won numerous awards for his music.
During a break at one of his performances, I asked him what he thought the worst thing he did as a kid. He said maybe turning over an outhouse with someone in it. Don hoped God would forgive him when his time came. I bet all Don had to do is yodel a few tunes and he would be quickly whisked into the Heavenly Choir!
Slim Richey - "The Most Dangerous Guitar Player In The World !!!"
Slim Richey, a really wonderful jazz/swing guitar player, has been around the music business a long time and played in bands of numerous famous musical personalities. Come this February, 2009, Slim will be celebrating his 71st birthday. Based in the Austin area, Slim has a number of bands ( <> THE KAT'S MEOW <> THE JITTERBUG VIPERS <> IN THESE SHOES <> YO GADJO <> THE SLIM RICHEY DREAM BAND <> SLIM RICHEY?S MONSTER JAZZGRASS BAND <> KING SLIM AND THE SWING QUEENS). Go see him !
